New publication: El infierno de los perpetradores. Edited by Anacleto Ferrer and Vicente Sánchez-Biosca, members of the Critical Theory Research Group.

In the course of the last century, the victim's importance grew to the point of occupying the center of scientific and political discourse as well as of therapeutic, symbolic and memorial practices. However, in recent decades, and without the victim having abandoned his or her protagonism, there has been a growing interest in the analysis of the victimizers, especially those who perpetrated war crimes, crimes against humanity and genocide.

There are several reasons for this shift: a generalization of victimhood, the disturbing vindication of this condition by the perpetrators, the participation of ordinary perpetrators in massacres, or the sometimes blurred boundary that separates the victim from the victimizer (that "gray zone" of which Primo Levi spoke). The aim of this volume is the multidisciplinary analysis of the figure of the perpetrator, both in its monstrous dimension and in its human banality.
