Advanced Oxides for Plasmonics: Applications in Mid-Infrared Photodetection (PROMETEO/2021/066)

IV Scientific Conference - Advanced Oxides for Plasmonics: Applications in Mid-Infrared Photodetection (PROMETEO/2021/066)

  • Crystal Growth and Semiconductor Characterization Group (CRECYCSEM)
  • December 18th, 2023
Crystals of Zinc, cadmium and gallium oxides

IV scientific conference of the PROMETEO/2021/066 project.

In this meeting, there will be an update on the activities of the different members of the research group and the PhD students from the institutions involved, as well as the coordination of the tasks to be tackled in the future will be analyzed.

The conference, coordinated by Vicente Muñoz Sanjosé and M. Carmen MartínezIV Scientific Conference PROMETEO Tomás and organized by a team made up of Eduardo Aznar Gadea, Carolina Fernández Saiz, Javier Yeste Torregrosa, Oleksii Klymov and Cerine Treesa Russel, incorporates both face-to-face and online organization to allow access to various members of our collaborations and also incorporate the presentations of lecturers who for various reasons could not be in Valencia.

The day will feature presentations by the following experts specialized in the crystalline growth of advanced materials and their characterization:

  • Dr. Juan Jiménez López (University of Valladolid)
  • Dr. Ivan Mora Seró (University Jaume I of Castelló)
  • Dr. Oleksandr Dobrozhan (Sumy University, Ukraine)
  • Dr. Hiroyuki Nishinaka (Kyoto Technical University, Japan)
  • Dra. Esther de Prado Fernández (Institute of Physics of the Czech Academy of Sciences, Czech Republic)
  • Dr. Miguel Montes (Polytechnic University of Madrid)
  • Dra. Antonella Parisini (University of Parma, Italy)

In addition, some PhD students will complete the scientific talks of the day.

The objectives of this day include the dissemination of the activities of the CreCYCSem group, the consolidation of scientific collaborations and the discussion of the "state of the art" in methods and techniques for obtaining and characterizing advanced oxides.

Date: December 18-19, 2023.

Location: Department of Applied Physics and Electromagnetism, University of Valencia.
