The Universitat de València’s DAM Chair for Integral Management and Resource Recovery of Wastewater will keep working on its content online due to the confinement we’re under.

This year, part of the activities that are normally developed by the DAM Chair within the Maleta del agua in various schools of the Valencian province among fifth graders will be available to students on the Chair’s website (https://www.uv.es/catedradam/).

This way, students can enjoy a short time of fun and learning in the world of wastewater treatment at the end of the current academic year. Students will be able to participate in the following activities:

• Video “La Maleta de la Agua”, an explanation of all the resources obtainable from wastewater.
• Testing the operation of a Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) in small scale. Students can easily replicate the main phases of a WTPP’s operation with materials that can be usually found at home.
• Comecocos. A cut-out with which children will be able to prove the knowledge they acquired in the previous activities and put the knowledge of the rest of the family to the test.
