Debora Vaccari

Debora Vaccari obtained her degree in Lingue e Letterature Straniere from the Università di Roma 'La Sapienza' in 2002 and her Doctorate from this same institution in 2007. She is currently a professor of Spanish Language and Literature and Ricercatore of Spanish Literature at this University.

As a member of the DICAT group, directed by Teresa Ferrer, she collaborated in 1998-1999 on the project Diccionario biográfico de actores del teatro clásico español. DICAT and she currently works on the projects CATCOM. Las comedias y sus representantes. Base de datos de las comedias mencionadas en la documentación teatral (1540-1700) and Patrimonio teatral clásico español: textos e instrumentos de investigación, coordinated by Joan Oleza within the Consolider-Ingenio 2010 programme, both of which are funded by the Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovación. She has been a member of several research groups funded by Italy's Ministero per l'Università e la Ricerca: Viaggi testuali e viaggiatori: la Spagna e l'Europa coordinated by M. Grazia Profeti, Relazioni intertestuali fra Spagna e Italia: riscritture e traduzioni coordinated by G. Poggi, and Filologia dei testi a stampa fra Italia e Spagna coordinated by P. Botta.

She has done research on sixteenth-century theatrical manuscripts, companies, and actors' texts, such as her book I 'papeles de actor' della Biblioteca Nacional de Madrid. Catalogo e studio (2006). She has also worked on different aspects of the theatrical production of the young Lope de Vega and on the works of the playwright Juan de Grajal.
