Daniel Monleón, Catedrático de Universidad (Full Professor), is a senior scientific advisor, evaluator, and professor of Biomedical Sciences at the University of Valencia. He holds a PhD in Physical Chemistry and completed postdoctoral training in structural genomics at Rutgers University (USA). His career spans structural biology, translational biomedicine, molecular epidemiology, and artificial intelligence applied to biomedical data.
He has led and participated in numerous national and international research projects, secured over €2M in public funding and extensive industry contracts, and published more than 120 peer-reviewed articles with an H-index around 40.
For more than 15 years he has served as an expert evaluator for multiple national agencies and the European Commission (Horizon Europe, MSCA, Cluster 1 & 9 panels), providing strategic insight into funding mechanisms and scientific excellence criteria.
His multidisciplinary background bridging chemistry, structural biology, biomedicine and AI enables high-level strategic consulting for industry, academia and policy stakeholders.
We are a team of senior professors, scientific professionals and researchers from the School of Medicine and Dentistry at the University of Valencia, led by Prof. Daniel Monleón, with extensive expertise in biomedical research, data science, and international research evaluation.
