While Madrid and Barcelona are notorious for muggings and crime, Valencia enjoys a much more amicable reputation. Pickpockets can be a nuisance in crowded areas such as train and bus stations, museums and popular tourist attractions. Keep an eye on your belongings and travel lightly whenever possible. It is best to wear cash and valuables close to your person (i.e. in a money belt).
Petty thieves have been known to work in pairs, one diverting the mark's attention while the other pilfers his belongings. One such scam involves a motorists pulling up alongside you and indicating that you have a problem with your tyre. After you pull over, this person helps you investigate the 'problem' while another person lifts belongings from your car.
Above all, a moderate dose of wariness and vigilance is all a tourist needs to remain safe in Valencia. Avoid walking outside of main tourist areas after dark, and if such travel is necessary, try to travel in groups.

Valencia is a safe city, but be cautious, you must watch your bags, cameras and valuables objects, because the tourists are a pole of attraction for the pickpockets and thieves. Don't leave anything of value in the car and pay attention in the agglomerations, because the multitudes attract the pickpockets.
In an emergency, call the police by dialing 091 (domestic) or 092 (local). You can call the fire department by dialing 080 or 085. You can dial 5530 to call an ambulance.While on the roads and in public places, be careful of pickpockets and bag thieves.Always be careful of your belongings. It is best to use a hidden money belt. It isconvenient to carry cameras and bags around the body. Always park your vehicleinsurance, and park in well lit parking areas. Do not leave valuables in the car.
Party: young people usually buy alcohol in supermarkets, making "botellon" because mixed drinks in nightclubs and pubs are very expensive. Students used to drink some spirits on the street around the Campus of Tarongers
There are some pubs and bars next to the Campus and University accomodation, where the students usually go because they are very cheap, such as “The Magik” or “ La siesta”.
Avoiding some suburbs like Malvarrosa, el Cabañal or La Plata if you don't know somenone who knows about it.
