  ZARAGOZA i IVORRA, MALENA, researcher

I received my Bachellor degree in Physics (Environmental Physics branch) from University of Valencia (Burjassot, Spain) in 2003. I am currently a Global Change Unit member and a Ph. D. student in the Department of Thermodynamics at University of Valencia. I have collaborated with the Organizing Committee of the 1st INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM "Recent Advances in Quantitative Remote Sensing", which took place at Valencia (Spain), 16-20 September 2002. My job is about logistic support within Global Change Unit.

SÒRIA I BARRES, GUILLEM, Ph. D

I received my Bachellor and dissertation degrees in physics from University of Valencia, Burjassot, Spain, in 2000 and 2002, respectively. I''m currently a Global Change Unit member and a Ph. D. student in the Department of Thermodynamics in the University of Valencia. I participate as a member of the Organizing Committee of the 1st INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM "Recent Advances in Quantitative Remote Sensing", wich took place in Torrent (Spain), 16-20 September 2002. My present investigation includes the retrieval of surface temperature, including land, ice and sea through multichannel and multiangle algorithms from thermal infrared remote sensed data supplied by ATSR-1, ATSR-2 and ENVISAT-AATSR sensors.

JIMÉNEZ-MUÑOZ, JUAN CARLOS,  Ph. D

I received my bachellor degree in Physics (Environmental Physics branch) from University of Valencia (Burjassot, Spain) in 2000. I am currently a Global Change Unit member and a Ph. D. student in the Department of Thermodynamics at University of Valencia and a Organizing Committee member in the 1st INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM "Recent Advances in Quantitative Remote Sensing", which took place at Valencia (Spain), 16-20 September 2002. I work with thermal infrared remote sensed data, obtaining land surface temperature & emissivity and other geo-biophysical parameters.

  CUENCA, JUAN, lecturer

Juan Cuenca was born in 1966. He received Bachelor Degree in Physics from the University of Valencia. Actually works as Lecturer in the same University and is preparing his Doctor Degree. His research interests include aspects related with the retrieval of surface temperature with remote sensing data in the thermal infrared region of the electromagnetic spectrum: emissivity, angular and spectral variation, atmospheric correction, algorithms and experimental validation work. The advances in these topics have been published and showed in several papers and communications to international symposia. He has been member of the staff of several international research projects, supported by the European Union and the European Space Agency. He has been member or the organizing committee of the 1st Recent Advances in Quantitative Remote Sensing Symposium hold on in Torrent-Valencia 2002. Has taken part, as teacher, of several University monographic and interdisciplinary courses.
