BRIEF BIO-STATEMENT -- BREVE NOTA CURRICULAR

 

Dr. Graeme Roy.

Depatment of Economics, University of Strathclyde, Scotland.

 

Dr Graeme Roy is John Anderson Research Lecturer in the Department of Economics at

the University of Strathclyde, Scotland, UK. Prior to this, Graeme held an Economic and

Social Research Council Postdoctoral Fellowship in the Fraser of Allander Institute,

Scotland’s leading research centre on the Scottish Economy. A graduate of the Scottish

Graduate Programme in Economics, he studied Political Economy at the Universities of

Glasgow and Edinburgh. His primary research interests are in fiscal policy, fiscal

decentralisation and the Scottish economy. Graeme’s PhD thesis examined the role of

sub-central governments during national consolidation attempts and the implications for

overall macroeconomic stability. He has published his work in a number of journals and

given presentations at conferences throughout Europe. His current research is focussed on

the impact of fiscal decentralisation on economic growth and development.
