1ST MEETING OF SUSTAINABLE AND COMMON GOOD COMPANIES: The Economy for the Common Good model as a tool for Corporate Sustainability.

  • March 22nd, 2019

The 1st Meeting of Sustainable and Common Good Companies: The Economy for the Common Good model as a tool for Corporate Sustainability will be held on 4 April at the La Nau Cultural Centre.

This proposal responds to the need to share the efforts that, from different companies committed to sustainability, are being made to improve their management practices through the use of ethical, social and environmental criteria.

The Economy for the Common Good (EBC) is becoming an economic model of reference, especially in the field of business. The application of its principles and tools (Common Good Balance Sheet and Common Good Matrix) can help companies to improve their management processes by introducing ethical, social and environmental criteria.

The purpose of this meeting is to make the CBE model known to all companies in the Valencian Community, intending to improve their management. In this sense, it is planned to hold a conference aimed at businessmen and businesswomen, managers and business management professionals to share experiences and to learn more about the tools of the EBC model.

Throughout 2018, the EBC Chair of Universitat de València has carried out a European research project funded by Humanistic Management Practices, on the application and measurement of the Common Good Balance to companies, the results of which we would also like to present during the Meeting. We will also present the manual “The Economy for the Common Good model. Application to the company/ Organisation and practical cases” elaborated by the EBC Chair with the collaboration of the Valencian Association for the promotion of the Economy for the Common Good will also be presented.
