The EBC Chair organises the 5th Conference on Social Responsibility and the Economy of the Common Good in Financial Institutions: Sustainable Banking versus Armed Banking on 24 October in the Salón de Grados of the Faculty of Economics of Universitat de València, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
The Conference on Social Responsibility and the Economy for the Common Good in Financial Institutions organised by the Chair of Economy for the Common Good analyses the current behaviour of banking institutions and what their social responsibility should be in the face of the consequences of bad banking practices (preferential shares and banking abuses such as sun clauses, evictions, and charging of commissions). The new economic paradigm: The Economy for the Common Good, allows the responsible behaviour of financial institutions to be reinforced, overcoming the tendency towards inequalities, social and environmental deterioration that the current economic model entails.
In its 5th Edition “Sustainable Banking versus Armed Banking”, there will be two conferences and a round table that will revolve around this theme.
