The "VET & Culture Network – Cultures of Work and Education: Understandings and Values of Work Taught and Learned in Adult Education and Vocational Education and Training" conference will be held in Valencia from October 2 to 4, 2024. This event will take place at the Faculty of Philosophy and Educational Sciences of the University of Valencia.
Organized by the University of Valencia, this academic event will focus on exploring how adult education and vocational training address work in its cultural dimension. Topics such as the historical evolution of work, changes in labor relations, and the new culture of precarity in the context of adult education and vocational training will be discussed.
This conference will provide a platform for the exchange of ideas and discussion on how adult education and vocational training can respond to contemporary challenges in the labor market. Issues such as job stability, continuous training, and the integration of young adults into the current labor market will be addressed.

We are celebrating 31 years of the VET & Culture Network!
This past year we commemorated three decades of collaboration within the VET & Culture Network. During the 30th annual conference in Oslo, Anja Heikkinen and Liv Mjelde shared memories of their experiences in the network. From that presentation, the article Thirty years of sharing and caring in the Vocational Education and Culture Research Network was born, and it is now available in the NJVET journal.

Publication of the "Book of Abstracts" for the VET & Culture Network 2024 Conference
We are also pleased to announce the publication of the Book of Abstracts for the 31st VET & Culture Network Conference, titled Cultures of Work and Education: Understandings and Values of Work Taught and Learned in Adult and Vocational Education.
