IV Workshop on innovation in Education and training in Master programs

15th to 17th June 2009 (Coimbra, Portugal)
The aim of the present workshop is to contribute to the innovation and creativity in the design, implementation and development of new and innovative strategies for the education of Master students.
In the workshop will participate about 30-35 teaching staff from the 5 universities involved in the consortium: Universities of Barcelona, Bologna, Coimbra, Paris and Valencia. The goal of the workshop is the development of an innovative program that will facilitate the education of the future Work and Organizational Psychology professionals in a global world.
In order to do that, participants will formulate proposals for innovation on the education need analysis, design of teaching materials and integrated courses, strategies for a more participative and student-focused implementation, and evaluation of students learning and outcomes.

IN MEMORIAM
Maria Luisa Pombeni
Professor of Psychology of Career Counselling and Professional Guidance
University of Bologna, Italy
On 8th August 2008 Maria Luisa Pombeni sustained fatal injuries during a car accident in the North of Italy. She was born in Bolzano in 1950 but the main part of her life was spent in Bologna.
After obtaining her graduate degree in Philosophy at the University of Bologna, she studied Social Psychology and Psychology of adolescence and youth behaviours during the transition phase from school to work. She gained the Advanced Diploma in Psycho-Pedagogy at the University of Turin.
Her research interests are related to two main areas:
a) Adolescents and youth social behaviours, with particular emphasis on their discomfort and poor school performance; and personal, social and professional identity construction;
b) Transition from school to work, with emphasis on school and professional guidance; prevention and promotion of psycho-social health and well-being during occupational socialization; designing and management of guidance and employment public services; human resources management and corporate career development; and training of employment consulting and personnel.
She regularly taught courses on Work and Organizational Psychology since 1980, at the Faculty of Psychology and at the Faculty of Educational Sciences and, in 2001, became full professor of Psychology of Career Counselling and Professional Guidance, at the Faculty of Psychology of the University of Bologna.
She took part with great enthusiasm into the Erasmus Mundus Program as teacher but she also actively contributed to didactical and practical activities in Bologna and to the collective activities of the consortium as the organization of the annual Workshop in Cesenatico.
Maria Luisa Pombeni lived an extremely active life in the academic and professional domains. She produced a large number of publications (mainly books) and papers that were published in Italian and French reviewed journals.
