First edition of the course Lean Startup

It’s now open the call of the course Lean Startup, a formative entry-level action from Uvemprén-Santander Universidades Unit that will take place on 21 June. This call is open to all undergraduate, master's or doctoral students at the University of Valencia, who will be able to access one of the 20 grants awarded by Banco Santander to cover tuition fees.

The main objective of this course is to learn the basics of the Lean Startup method so that students can learn how to turn ideas into products and techniques to experiment with the customer, acquire techniques for measuring and validating customer response and identify the activities that generate value to continue pivoting or preserving.  The methodology combines a theoretical approach with practical activities and will require the active participation of the students.

The course, which will take place on 21 June from 15:30 to 19:30, will be taught by Lola Garzón, professor in the Department of Business Management at the Faculty of Economics and academic head of UVemprén. The content will be divided into four parts to explain the fundamentals and the different tools to achieve a complete validation of business ideas according to the Lean Startup philosophy: introduction to the scientific method and its relationship with the Lean Startup methodology, creation phase, measurement phase and learning phase.

Those interested have until 14 June to fill in their application form.  In addition, Banco Santander has announced 20 grants to cover tuition fees. All the information about the course and how to apply for the grants can be found at this link.
