The Universitat de València's Vice-rectorate of Innovation and Transfer has published the Call Valoritza i Transfereix 2021 (Resolution of 27 September 2021 of the Rectorate) with the aim of improving the opportunities for exploitation of the research results generated at the Universitat de València, promoting the development and maturation of these results, and facilitating their transfer to the socio-economic environment.

The aim of this call for proposals is to award grants for the implementation of proof-of-concept projects. Proof-of-concept projects are those projects that validate the commercial interest of research results through the development of prototypes, demonstrators, full-scale tests or other types of actions that serve to verify the feasibility of the application of these results. Therefore, Valoritza i Transfereix is not a call aimed at fundamental research projects.

The beneficiaries will be any member of the teaching and research staff belonging to the teaching staff of the Universitat de València, as well as research staff hired within the framework of public calls for the incorporation of doctors or the Special Programme for the Stabilisation of Reincorporated Researchers of the UV, with the category of doctor and with full-time dedication.

Eligible costs may include contracted personnel, consumables and small equipment, travel and subsistence, contracting of R&D and technological services and contracting of other services that are linked to the development of the project.

Depending on the type of research result and its technical area, projects may receive a maximum support of:

• Projects for the validation of research results, protected or protectable by industrial property rights. Maximum aid of €60,000.
• Projects for the validation of research results, protected or protectable by intellectual property rights. Maximum aid of €20,000.
