The Summer University of Rincón de Ademuz (UVRA) is one of the major initiatives developed by the Chair for Citizen Participation and Valencian Landscapes of the Universitat de València, together with the Valencian Department of Territorial Policy, Public Works and Mobility, in order to collaborate in the educational and cultural promotion of Rincón de Ademuz. A region on the Valencian hinterland where the demographic and socioeconomic regressive trend contrasts with a landscape and cultural potential that, properly valued, can become a fortress to build its development. The sixth edition, whose slogan is “Landscapes for citizens and development”, aims to continue the achievements of previous editions.

The UVRA has been consolidated as an experience where academic, recreational and cultural aspects converge, and a pioneer in the rural area. An initiative designed by the Chair for Citizen Participation and Valencian Landscapes, in conjunction with the Office of the Vice-Principal for Culture and Society, the Valencian Provincial Council, the CEFIRE of Torrent and the association of municipalities of Rincón de Ademuz, to answer the requests and issues that most concern the citizens of the region. The main objective of this initiative is to maintain, guard and promote the training of those who wish to get educated, improve their curriculum and acquire new skills and abilities in their professional and personal environment.

Given the public nature of the Universitat de València, registration to this sixth edition will be, once again, free. Registration is open to all kinds of public: students, professionals, administrative technicians, professors, unemployed or retirees. Places are limited to 60 people, which will be filled on a first-come-first-served basis. All attendees that request it will receive an official certificate of accreditation from the UV (People registered on the Module III: Teacher Training will receive the accreditation through the CEFIRE of Torrent).
