The Universitat de València, by means of the Office of the Vice-Principal for Territorial Projection and Society and the City Council of Riba-roja de Túria, organises the II edition of the conference La anguila al mar - la angula al Turia (Eel to sea - eel to Turia).

The importance of the connection of river Turia with the sea was reflected on the recent approval of Turia’s Natural Park’s PORN (Plan de Ordenación de los Recursos Naturales) and there’s hope for the eel’s life cycle to come full circle. This vitally important proposal would need to be prioritised within the urban development and municipal design planning procedures of future PUAM (Planes Urbanos de Actuación Municipal) included in the 10-year adaptation strategy for Agenda 2030’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly within Europe’s “Next Generation” Plan’s Economic and Social Recovery Funds, where the long-term survival of species and habitat types should be ensured, contributing to preserve biodiversity.
