The Office of the Vice-Principal for Research of the Universitat de València has published the Call for Applications for the 2024 VLC-BIOMED programme (Resolution of 9 September 2024 of the Principal’s Office) with the purpose of conceding financial aid for R+D+I projects carried out by research staff from the UV and the IIS La Fe.

The two sub-programmes approved in this call for applications are:

- Sub-programme for the promotion of Preparatory Actions coordinated by UV-IIS La Fe with the goal of generating synergies and alliances among the research staff and professions from both entities.

- Sub-programme for joint UV-IIS La Fe Innovation Projects, aimed at promoting the development of joint innovation projects based on different preliminary results and experiences.

Recipients: the proposals must be led by two Principal Investigators (PI), one from the UV and the other from the IIS La Fe. Applications must be signed by both PIs, who will be responsible for the scientific and economic management of the aid.

The eligible costs may include contracted personnel, consumables and small equipment, travel and food, contracting of R+D and technological services and contracting of other services related to the development of the project.

Depending on the type of sub-programme, the projects may receive a maximum amount of:

• Preparatory Acctions coordinated by UV-IIS La Fe – Maximum aid of €7,500 per project
• Innovation Projects jointly managed by UV-IIS La Fe –  Maximum aid of €30,000 per project
