By March 2020, the eleventh edition of the EIASM Workshop on Senior Management Teams and Business Strategy Research (the "TMT Workshop") should have taken place. However, due to the pandemic we had to cancel and postpone the workshop. Unfortunately, organizing a complete (physical) TMT workshop in the spring of 2021 is still not an option. Despite this and because we wanted to reach the TMT workshop community, we hosted a smaller-scale online event on March 25 at 15:00 and have begun preparations for a new edition of the TMT workshop in the fall of 2021.

Two prominent speakers, Lorenz Graf-Vlachy and Roque Echániz, discussed "Current and Future Challenges in Strategic Leadership".

During the workshop, participants were invited to attend the presentations of both speakers and to participate in the Q&A as part of the session.

Lorenz Graf-Vlachy, a professor at the University of Dortmund, commented on the importance of CEOs in crises and how they influenced each other. He explained his ideas through several examples, such as BP and Airbnb, telling how these companies had overcome their crises under the baton of their CEOs. Based on several previous studies, he developed different characteristics that CEOs had to possess in order for the company's strategy to be existing, highlighting the personality between them.

Roque Echániz, a consultant at McKinsey & Company, adressed the importance of working on the diversity of perspectives in management teams and board of directors to improve the quality of strategic decisions. He also noted that in times of crisis, it is very important to adopt a flexible and "liquid" perspective of the company's strategy.

Participants also had the opportunity to join specific work rooms after the general session, to meet with other colleagues and discuss the issues raised and possible opportunities and collaborations. To this end, a "meeting and greeting" group room was organized for informal talks.

The objectives for this online seminar were as follows:
- Stay in touch with the community of researchers interested in TMT and business strategy;
- Provide opportunities to interact with colleagues and think about future research projects;
- Get inspiration for relevant research opportunities and collaborations;
- To publicize the next steps and future plans for the TMT workshop.

The session was conducted with great fluidity, with about 50 participants.
