II JORNADA NACIONAL DE PROGRAMAS DE PRESCRIPCIÓN DE EJERCICIO FÍSICO (JUEVES 4 DE MAYO DE 2023)

El próximo 4 de mayo tendrá lugar la II Jornada Nacional de Programas de Prescripción de Ejercicio Físico en el Salón de Grados de la FCAFE. El evento está organizado por la Unidad de Investigación en Rendimiento Físico y Deportivo de la Universidad de Valencia (UIRFIDE, GIUV 2013-140) y el Servicio de Deportes de esta misma Universidad, en colaboración con el Departamento de Educación Física y la Facultad de Ciencias de la Actividad Física y el Deporte. Colaboran en el evento instituciones públicas y privadas como la Generalitat Valenciana, la GEPACV, la Sociedad Valenciana de Geriatría y Gerontología, la Fundación Gesmed, la Asociación Entrenamiento con Mayores (EcM) y la Red del CSD Inmotusalus.

Este próximo viernes 12 de abril tendrá lugar la 4ª edición del IAIOS TRAINIG FESTIVAL, seguido de las III JORNADAS DE ACTUALIZACIÓN SOBRE ENTRENAMIENTO EN ADULTOS MAYORES, los días 16 y 17 de abril. Ambos eventos están organizados por la Unidad de Investigación UIRFIDE (Departamento de Educación Física y Deportiva y el Servicio de Educación Física y Deportiva de la Universitat de València, como curso de formación y actividad en la promoción del envejecimiento activo. Colaboran en la organización: la Facultad de Ciencias de la Actividad Física y el Deporte, el Departamento de Educación Física y Deportiva y el Vicerrectorado de Proyección Territorial y Sociedad como instituciones académicas, junto a la Asociación Entrenamiento con Mayores y los ayuntamientos de Buñol, Burjassot, Castalla, Moncada y Siete Aguas.

The redesign of the University of Valencia's web portals has reached the departments and one of the first to adapt its website has been the Physical Education and Sport. This department has already been incorporated into the new corporate image that has been applied in recent months in numerous portals of faculties, high schools, master’s, residence halls, libraries and other UV centres.

A study of the University is awarded by the Spanish Association of Surgeons

A study of the Research Group on Sport and Health of the Universitat de València (headed by professor Juan Carlos Colado) and the Hepatic and Transplant Surgeon Unity of La Fe Hospital has been awarded with the best scientific publication of 2017 by the Spanish Association of Surgeons. This is the first work that considers physical activity within the life quality of patients who have had a liver transplant. Top level tests and a pioneering world-wide training methodology were used for the research.
