The Sustainable Economy will be the protagonist of a double activity: a conference on July 18th that will take place at the Botanical Garden of the Universitat de València; and a 4-day course at the Summer University of Gandia, which will be held from July 19th to 22nd.
The Chair for Feminist Economics and the Chair for Economy for the Common Good of the Universitat de València and the Regional Ministry of Sustainable Economy, Productive Sectors, Trade and Labour of the Valencian Government are organising the 1st Summer School on Sustainable Economy to be held from July 18th to 22nd, 2022.
The 1st Summer School consists of two activities, the first of which is the Dialogues on sustainability: caring for people and caring for the planet, which will take place in the Botanical Garden of the UV on July 18th. Subsequently, from July 19th to 22nd, there will be a course on Economics for the Sustainability of Life: Contributions from the common good and feminism, which is part of the Gandia-UV Summer University. Both activities are free of charge and registration is required.
This 1st Sustainable Economy Summer School aims to offer spaces for learning and debate to shape the concept of sustainability, taking into account democracy and economic justice, ecological transformation and the proposals made from the economy for the common good and feminist economics. Within this framework, different topics such as housing, mobility, the need for a cultural change, among others, that affect the productive system and the Valencian social reality are developed, in terms of changing the model and satisfying human needs linked to the 2030 Agenda.
