L'Hora Fosca: "El crimen del peluquero de Russafa” (The dark hour: “The Crime of the Russafa Barber”)

Screening of an episode of L’Hora Fosca (Ápunt TV) about a case that shook Valencian Society in 2017: the case of the Russafa Barber. This case combines many ingredients that make it unique: the murderer, a Swede of Argentinian origin, shared a cell with a triple murderer, also of Swedish nationality, who had written two crime novels while they were in prison, and with whom he spoke after his release from prison. The victim was dismembered and stuffed into a suitcase that travelled the city. But that’s not all: the killer ended up murdering one of the inspectors investigating the murder. Does reality surpass fiction?

After the screening of the episode of L’Hora Fosca (Ápunt TV) about the Russafa Barber’s case, we will start a passionate conversation about the most important aspects of the case, which will eventually give rise to questions that deal with all Valencian and even universal crime: Can fiction trigger murder? Is reality sometimes more turbulent and absurd than fiction? Should the victims and not the criminals be the real characters when we tell these stories?
