Teatre a La Nau. Projecte escènic de Alarcón&Cornelles

La Nau Theatre
La crítica
Theatre project by Alarcón&Cornelles.
Script and direction: Jerónimo Cornelles

In the form of a thriller, “La crítica” tells the story of a trans woman who is summoned by the advisor of a Directorate-General, which could be any Directorate-General, in a big city. A meeting where it seems that she has been invited for a job interview, but which, in reality, serves as a trigger to talk about corruption and subjugation, and how "the system" works to silence anything that might be a nuisance.
"LA CRÍTICA" also shows that the male violence suffered by transsexual women is multiplied: on one hand because they are women, and on the other because they belong to the LGTBI+ collective.
In "LA CRÍTICA", starring Candela Saus, (a 21-year-old trans actress from València), much of the story comes from working directly with Candela and her personal experiences.
“LA CRÍTICA” is the third part of the “Trilogía del miedo”, composed by “DESDE El INFIERNO” (2017) and “THREESOME” (2020).
