75th anniversary of the Orfeó Universitari de València.

The concert with Orlando Consorte, entitled Ieri, Oggi, Domani, will be a dialogue between early music and contemporary music based on music of bygone times, with Tarick O'Regan's Scattered Rhymes, for solo quartet and choir, as its centrepiece. The work is based on the Messe de Nostre Dame by Machaut and several sonnets by Petrarch. In addition, the concert will feature the premiere of Homenajes, Luz Martín's recreations of the chant of Sibyl and the Mystery of Elche. The programme will take advantage of the possibilities of the cloister of La Nave to explore new sonorities and possibilities, in a dynamic concert full of contrasts.

The Orlando Consorte is one of Europe's leading early music ensembles, faithful to the best English vocal tradition. Even so, the interest in avant-garde choral music is treasured in the commissions they give to various composers, as well as in the recordings dedicated to this mixture of present and past art.
