The Universitat de València has opened the second registration period for the Colla de Dolçaines i Percussió ( a colla is traditional valencian music group.), which can be done until the 18th of February (included).

The second term of the course will be from 18th February to 20th May 2022 and the rehearsals will start on the same day 18/02, after the level tests ( 5 p.m.).

The Colla performs a weekly rehearsal on Fridays from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., in the Assembly Hall of the Old Teacher Trainging School (Alcalde Reig 8, 46006 València) with the following timetable:

5:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. Arrival and preparation of materials

6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Rehearsal

7pm to 7:15pm. Break

7:15 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Rehearsal

8:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Cleaning and dismantling of materials, and departure.

The classes are technique classes and group sessions. The distribution of students for the technical classes will be assigned by the director according to pedagogical and artistic criteria.

Under the direction of Juan Ramon Martí i Chulià, la Colla was born in 2016 with the aim of being a stable, representative and innovative group in the field of traditional music, always from an educational point of view.

The requirements for candidates are as follows:

-To be a student of the Universitat de València.

-To have a maximum age of 26 years old.

-To have previous knowledge of playing dolçaina and/or traditional percussion.

-And pass a simple level test, which will consist of the performance of a free piece of a maximum duration of 10 minutes.
