'Convida un pobre a la teua taula'

From d'ASSAIG-Grup de Teatre of the Universitat de València we would like to invite you to the last performance of "Convida un pobre a la teua taula".

It's December 24th, in València, a provincial city. The Valencian Council of Social Welfare, with the sponsorship of a food magnate, has organised a Christmas campaign with the title “Convida un pobre a la teua taula.” On the other hand, Plácido, a sixty-year-old rider, is hired to bring, in a sustainable way, the dinners to the different houses, but he realises a very serious problem: he has to pay the mortgage loan and he does not have enough money. 

“From the original work by García Berlanga, we dialogue with our present, we work on the world that the filmmaker presents to us and we transplant it to the present, to the characters, situations and social criticism of our reality...”
