Exposición 'Ortifurama valencià' en la Sala Acadèmia de La Nau.
Guided visit to the 'Ortifurama valencià' exhibition

Alumni UV is organising a new guided visit to La Nau in March, and on this occasion will take a guided tour of the exhibition 'Ortifurama valencià', which is on display in the Sala Acadèmia of the university's cultural centre.

"Ortifurama valencià" is an exhibition on Valencian history and reality through the exceptional graphic humorist Ortifus (Antonio Ortiz Fuster, 1948), curated by Álvaro Pons and Daniel Tomás. This exhibition illustrates the last 40 years (1981-2021) of the city of València through the creations of Ortifus. In fact, it is his largest retrospective, as it brings together nearly a thousand pieces, including illustrations and objects.

In the space, a large chronological mural stands out, more than 20 metres long, which traces the history of Valencia through more than 600 images, mostly caricatures of political figures, which are followed by drawings and projections. The exhibition also reveals for the first time the characters that Ortifus models with plasticine as part of his creative process and allows visitors to approach his most recent productions: a series of illustrations that began in March 2020 and that portray life in the city at the time of the Covid-19.

The visit will take place on Tuesday the 29th of March, from 5 to 6 p.m., and it is reqyured to register in advance. The registered person will receive an email with a ticket with a QR code that must be presented at the concierge desk of the La Nau Cultural Centre (Universitat 2, València). Please arrive 10 minutes before the start of the activity and continue using the hygienic mask and hydroalcoholic gel. The public health measures in force of the Conselleria de Sanidad Universal y Salud Pública in the Comunitat Valenciana (Valencian Regional Health Department) must be complied with, as a consequence of the situation caused by covid-19. This exhibition is organised by La Nau Cultural Centre. The visit will be guided by a member of the UV Cultural Volunteers.
