Alumni UV has organised an outing to El Puig de Santa Maria as part of the Alumni Comparteix programme, an initiative that aims to share learning and generate synergies with alumni of the Universitat de València.

The activity is open to the public.

Alumni Julio Badenes Almenara will guide the tour, which includes a visit to the monastery of El Puig de Santa Maria, the old quarter of the town and the historic remains of the castle located on the mountain of "la Patá". The aim of this visit is to show the importance of two heritage monuments that are essential for understanding the history of the Valencian people: the castle from which the conquest of Valencia was prepared and the monastery that James I ordered to be built as a historical and cultural reference point for the new Kingdom of Valencia.

Departure by bus at 10 a.m. and arrival in Valencia is scheduled for around 4.30 p.m. Prior registration is required until March 29. Each person registered must specify their personal details in order to process the nominative insurance. Duplicate registrations will not be accepted. The registered person will receive an email with a ticket with a QR code that must be presented before boarding the bus. You must be at Amadeu de Savoia 4, València, 10 minutes before the scheduled time. The ticket includes the bus and travel insurance. A reduced price of €2 has been arranged for the entrance to the monastery of El Puig. Each participant will pay at the entrance. Lunch is not included.
