The presentation of the book "El patrimoni artístic valencià" (Valencian artistic heritage) will take place on 27^th May, as part of the celebration of the first edition of the Gandia Book Square. Felipe Jerez, coordinator of the book; Jorge Hermosilla, vice-principal of Territorial Projection and Society of the UV; Carme Meló, director of the International Centre of Gandia-UV.

This book, which has been written collectively, aims to approach the plural and outstanding Valencian artistic heritage, a mixture of tradition and modernity, a sign of identity and a generator of socio-cultural and economic wealth. It deals, on the one hand, with the development of art in our territory from prehistoric times to the present day with a selection of examples showing the peculiarity and essential features of its typological diversity, and on the other hand, the specialised training, study, tutelage and dissemination activities carried out by the Department of Art History of the Faculty of Geography and History of Universitat de València.
