The City Museum Berbedel Palace hosts the 14th Martínez Guerricabeitia Biennial, which this year bears the slogan “Naufragios”(Shipwrecks). The exhibition shows about twenty works where the artists address from their perspective and personal approach the idea of shipwrecks of ideologies, material and intangible projects, political, economic and social initiatives, at different geographical and human scales, opting for a wide variety of techniques and supports to capture their particular vision.
These works will compete to win the Biennial, curated by José Pedro Martínez, Director of Activities of the Martínez Guerricabeitia Collection, whose main purpose is, in addition to promoting Spanish contemporary art, to enrich the collection of the Universitat de València.
