Alumni UV organises in the program Alumni Comparteix, a trip to Burriana where the Aula Didáctica de la Diáspora Mediterránea is located. One of the persons in charge is Marc Ferri, lecturer of Contemporary History. He will guide the visit by its facilities, a project of the Council of Education, Culture and Sport for explaining and spreading the present and past of Mediterranean migrations among pre-university students.

With headquarters in Escuela del Mar of Burriana, this Aula is born with the aim to cover the migratory phenomenon in all its complexity and far from sensationalisms.                                                                                                                                                                                                                    In addition, it is useful for highlighting the valuable humanitarian work of organisations that rescue immigrants in the Mediterranean Sea and help them to integrate themselves in the European society.

It is expected to arrive at Burriana at 9:30h. After a break for lunch, at 10:30h will start the visit to the Aula Didáctica de la Diáspora Mediterránea and once it is finished, a bus will carry us to the town historic centre for discovering the most important modernist houses, built since the middle of the nineteen century, during a period of economic growth because of the orange market.
