The Philharmonic Orchestra of the Universitat de València celebrates the Opening Concert of the academic year on the 3rd of November in Gandia at the Serrano Theatre.

The Orchestra will present a programme entitled “Dones compositores” (Valencian for Composer women). The artistic explosion among women at the beginning of the 20th century is more than evident if we observe and value the female composers we are dealing with in this programme. Europe and America were united by the overflowing talent of women composers committed to the creative spirit who struggled in their social situation in favour of their passion: music.
