On Monday, December 9, 2024, between 9:30 am and 1:25 pm, Building & Expanding BE-I2SysBio, the annual scientific day of this joint centre of CSIC and the University of Valencia, will be held. This session will be followed by the end of the year balance session and a tribute to the previous management.

Throughout the morning, there will be ten interventions of various principal investigators of the institute representing the three scientific programs. In addition, it will be a good opportunity to learn about the work of the PIs recently incorporated to the centre, such as Alfred Fillol-Salom (The ecology of mobile genetic elements), Arnau Montagud (Systems biology modelling) and Guillem Salazar (Microbiome ecology).

This scientific session will be followed by a Claustro of the institute in which the current Directors will present its annual balance. Tribute will also be paid to Emilia Matallana and Santiago Elena who co-directed the institute for the last four years.
