For the last ten years, the Faculty of Biological Sciences of the University of Valencia has developed an agreement with the Iowa State University (ISU) that allows a group of ISU biology students to stay in its laboratories for one month.

This year, seven students will collaborate with different research groups, among which is Claire Myers who joins the Biotechnology and Synthetic Biology group of I2SysBio. The students, accompanied by their tutors Steve Rodermel and Beatriz Spalding, were received on Friday June 7 by Dean Carmen Bañó and Vice Dean Mercedes Fernández, along with the tutors of the receiving laboratories. For a month, they will learn new laboratory techniques while continuing their educational and cultural activities in the University of València. Another group of nine students will participate in a parallel series of activities, talks and excursions, given by professors and researchers from the Faculty and the Cavanilles Institute.
