Title: Development of a dual strategy for the mitigation of the damage associated to stress, in tomato productive systems

The objective of this Project is the “Development of a dual strategy for the mitigation of the damage associated to stress, in tomato productive systems”. This innovative strategy will allow first, the generation of precise knowledge about the miRNA-mediated mechanism involved in the response to multiple stress conditions associated to climate change (to be used in traditional breeding for development of stress-tolerant plants). Second, the optimization of stress associated sRNAs as biomarkers for the early, easy and low-cost monitoring of stress on tomato crops, by means of a portable microfluidic paper-based analytical device.
