Alfredo García Prats and Cristobal Borreo Moro, members of the ETICCs research group participated in the committee of experts fro tax reform in the Valencian Community.

In October 2021, the ‘Report on the implementation of financial autonomy of the Valencian Community through the development of its own tax system and assigned taxes’ was published. Professors of Financial and Tax Law F. Alfredo García Prats and Cristóbal Borrero Moro of the Universitat de València, formed part of the committee for tax reform.

Borrero Moro is the author of the paper ‘Report V on the possibility and legal limits for the region in establishing its own extra-fiscal taxes’. In collaboration with Ángeles Pla Val, he has also prepared Report VII, entitled ‘Valencian tax on beverages with added sugars. Legal articulation and economic effects’.

García Prats is the author of Report VI: ‘Taxation of empty or unoccupied dwellings’.
