On 31 May, the international congress "Questioni attuali di diritto tributari: una comparazione Itàlia-Spagna (Università di Torino e Università di València)” took place in Turin. The conference was organised by members of the ETICCs Research Group, Dr José Luis Bosch Cholbi, Senior Lecturer, and Professor Alfredo García Prats and Mario Grandinetti, member of the teachings staff at the University of Turin.
This conference was the result of the strong synergy between the Universitat de València and the University of Turin, whose collaboration made it possible to carry out, in the Italian venue, a comparative study of current tax issues between the Spanish and Italian legal systems. As a result, several panel discussions were held on topics such as the impact of artificial intelligence on taxpayers' rights, the taxation of digital nomads, the problems of evidence in proceedings against the tax administration and new developments in tax compliance.
Several researchers from the ETICCs Research group travelled to this international congress, including lecturers Cristóbal Borrero Moro, Alberto Moreno García, José Carlos Pedrosa López and doctoral candidates Raquel Alamà Perales and Paula Granell Ramírez
Among the most noteworthy contributions was that of Mr Claudio Sacchetto, Professor Emeritus of Tax Law at the University of Turin, who gave a keynote speech. All this made this Congress the epicentre of the latest tax news, attended by undergraduate and postgraduate students of the University of Turin's Master of Taxation.
