José Miguel Lorente, Director of Institutions of Banco Santander, handed out the awards for the best degree or master's degree academic record, sponsored by the Chair for International Finance - Banco Santander.

On 14 June, the Faculty of Economics of the Universitat de València hosted an emotive ceremony to give recognition to the most brilliant students of the course 2022-2023. The Extraordinary Awards and the Awards to the Best Degree and Master's Degree Academic Records were handed out in a ceremony led by the Vice-Principal for Economics and Infrastructure, Justo Herrera, and by the Dean of the Faculty, Francisco Muñoz, in the Hall of the Faculty of Economics.

The Chair for International Finance - Banco Santander had the honour of sponsoring three of the most important awards of the ceremony. These awards were handed out by José Miguel Lorente, Director of Institutions of Banco Santander, highlighting the commitment of the entity with the academic excellence and the professional development of the students.

Award to best degree academic record:

  • Degree in Business Management and Administration (ADE) Rosa Pla Almendros.

Awards to best master's degree academic record:

  • Master’s Degree in Actuarial and Financial Sciences Javier Vidal Granel.
  • Master’s Degree in Corporate Finance: Rafael Calvo Alonso.

Accompanied by relatives and friends, the award-winning students received their prizes in an emotive ceremony that highlighted the importance of effort and dedication to reach success.

The act finished with the traditional interpretation of the "Gaudeamos Igitur", a family photo of each of the winners and a wine of honour to celebrate the achievements of the students and the support of institutions and sponsors that made this recognition possible.
