Yves JULIEN

I work within the Global Change Unit of the University of Valencia (Spain) with José A. SOBRINO. My research is mainly dedicated to the analysis of time series of satellite data for the identification of changes in the vegetation. To this end, I process historical databases (Pathfinder, GIMMS) to estimate parameters such as vegetation indices (NDVI) and surface temperature (LST), useful for characterizing the vegetation. I also use data  from the NOAA, METEOSAT and MODIS antennas we have installed, and for which I am responsible for the processing and surveillance chains.

I defended on the 3rd of July 2008 my PhD, titled "Vegetation monitoring through retrieval of NDVI and LST time series from historical databases". A pdf version of this PhD can be downloaded here.
