The vice-principal of Studies and Language Policy at Universitat de València, Isabel Vázquez, has decided to award the 2019 Linguistic Rights Chair prize for the best doctoral thesis to Anna Arnall Duch, for the work “Catalan legal language: state of the art and proposals for the future”.

The thesis addresses the stage of stagnation that the Catalan legal language is going through due to its limited use, the regression in the legal framework and the persistence of obstacles that prevent its development. The aim of this world is to improve the current situation of the Catalan legal language.
