The Chair celebrated the Linguistic Rights Day by collaborating in the conference on Linguistic Diversity organised by the Xarxa Vives of Universities.

On the occasion of the Day of Linguistic Rights in the Valencian Country, the Xarxa Vives of Universities organised a Forum Vives Conference on Linguistic Diversity at the Jaume I University.

The conference began with the CELRoM researcher and linguistic advisor of the Language and Terminology Service of the UJI, Elija Lutze, where he introduced the ECCA project and the CELRoM pilot programme, as well as the principles of the European Charter for Regional or Minority Languages.

Then, the Director of the Chair for Linguistic Rights and Director of the Language Policy Service of the University of Valencia, Rafael Castelló, gave a speech on Linguistic Rights and Linguistic Equality.

Finally, 3 workshops were held for the educational community: teachers and pupils, with the aim of achieving a debate on the opportunities and responsibilities for the future that we have as speakers.
