Dr Mas graduated and took a PhD in Economics at the Universitat de València where she is Professor of Economic Analysis and Director of International Projects of the Ivie. Currently, she has obtained 5 six-year periods (sexennials) of research activity and 1 of knowledge transfer.
Her specialized fields are the knowledge economy, analysis of public capital (focusing on infrastructures), regional economy, new information technologies and intangible assets.
She is currently director of the Project DIGITES (DIGital Technologies Segment data) commissioned by the Joint Research Centre (Directorate B, European Commission). She has been advisor to the LA KLEMS Project for Latin America, coordinator of the Project SPINTAN funded by the 7th Framework Programme of the European Union and has also participated in other EU projects (EU KLEMS, INDICSER, ICTNET, DICTA and PREDICT). She is co-author of 81 books and book chapters, co-editor of "Industrial Productivity in Europe. Growth and Crisis" (Edward Elgar, 2011) and author of more than 80 articles in specialist journals such as Journal of Productivity Analysis, NBER, Journal of Regional Science, Regional Studies and Review of Income and Wealth, among others. She is member of the Editorial Board of the journal Hacienda Pública Española, member of the Advisory Board of Ekonomiaz and of the Scientific Advisory Board of Cuadernos Económicos of the Spanish Commercial Information (ICE). In 2020 she was awarded by the General Council of Economists of Spain with the Grand Cross of Merit in Service to the Economy. In July of that same year, she was appointed Member of the Advisory Council for Economic Affairs of the Spanish Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation. She regularly collaborates with the media on economic issues and is member of Cotec’s Top 100 Experts as an expert in intangible assets. Also, she has been appointed expert advisor to the Economic and Social Council (CES) of Spain.
