The students of the Universitat de València who are enrolled at the Master’s Degree in Creative and Humanistic Translation have now the opportunity to obtain the Laurea Magistrale in Lingue Moderne e Traduzioni per le Relazioni Internazionali of the Università di Palermo.

In order to obtain it, the students of the master’s degree must hold at least one of the following degrees of the UV or equivalents of other universities: Translation and Interlinguistic Mediation, English Studies or Modern Languages and Literatures. They must also have a B1+ level in Italian language.

This double master’s degree programme will be offered to 6 students per academic year. If there were more applicants than offered places, there would be a selection process according to the following criteria: average grade of the student record and higher level than required.

The selected students will join the Scuola delle Scienze Umane e del Patrimonio Culturale of the Università di Palermo. During their stay in Italy, they must achieve at least 40 ECTS of the Laurea Magistrale in Lingue Moderne e Traduzioni per le Relazioni Internazionali.

Among the subjects the double master’s degree programme’s students must take, can be highlighted ‘Translation for dubbing’ and ‘Translation of plays and poetry’ for the specialty in English; or ‘Literature and cinema’ and ‘Analysis of literary and audiovisual texts’ for the specialty in French.

Once the enrolment has been formalised, it is important for the students to be provided with a health and civil liability insurance, since they will have to accredit it when they arrive to the Università di Palermo.
