In accordance with Spanish Royal Decree 1892/2008, of 14 November, which regulates the conditions for access to official university degree courses and admission procedures in Spanish public universities, 5% of the available places will be reserved for students with a recognised degree of disability equal to or greater than 33%, as well as for students with permanent special educational needs associated with personal circumstances of disability, who during their previous schooling have needed resources and support for their full educational normalisation. Likewise, as mentioned in the previous section, students who have special educational needs derived from a disability and need some kind of adaptation can turn to the counselling service of the Unit for the Integration of People with Disabilities of the Universitat de València (www.uv.es/upd), which provides information, advice and guidance to students and assesses the specific educational needs arising from the condition of disability in order to proceed with the relevant curricular adaptations in the Doctoral Programme in Physiotherapy (DoF for its Spanish acronym) and notify the researchers responsible for the direction of doctoral theses.

As it can not be otherwise, in compliance with the regulatory principles in Article 3 of Spanish Royal Decree 1393/2007 of 29 October, which establishes the organisation of official university education, among the general principles that inspire the design of this degree is taken into account "that any professional activity must be done from the respect and promotion of human rights, the principles of universal accessibility and design for all", and as indicated in the tenth final provision of the Spanish Law 51 / 2003 of 2 December 2003 on equal opportunities, it complies with the non-discrimination and universal accessibility of people with disabilities.

Part-time students

Part-time students will be admitted as long as there is a work, family or health justification, and the access and admission requirements are the same as in the case of full-time students. Of the 20 places offered for the first and second year, 5 will be part-time and the rest full-time. If there are no part-time applications, they will all be offered on a full-time basis.

Any change in the doctoral student's mode of dedication must be duly justified (illness, employment contract, etc.), by means of a request addressed to this Committee, which will resolve it and notify the corresponding University Service.
