On Thursday 15 September at 12:00 h. in the Events Hall of the Faculty of Psychology took place a briefing for second year students on the external practices of the Master’s Degree in General Health Psychology. The event was in charge by Yolanda Montoro (ADEIT University-Business Foundation) and by Marisa García Mérita and Francisco Atienza (directors of the Master’s Degree).

TYPES OF WORK PLACEMENTS:
This type of work placement is supervised in evaluation, diagnosis, prevention and intervention of psycho-oncology, psychogerontology, mental health, families and caregivers, child and adolescent psychopathology, eating disorders, addictive behaviour and sex disorders.
- Curricular (with ECTS): it is a compulsory subject which supposes 30 credits and 500 on-site hours. The deadlines can be from January to February or in June. There are two modalities:
- Auto practicum: the process requires filling in an application form in the ADEIT’s website and then sending the Auto practicum Proposal to the direction of the Master’s Degree. It is valued by the Academic Coordinating Committee (ACC) and, if accepted, the work placements agreement will be made.
- Choice: it is also necessary to fill in an application form in the ADEIT’s website and the ACC, considering the preferences of students according to their qualifications assigns the work placement. Finally, the work placement agreement is made.
- Extracurricular (without credits): it contemplates up to 900 hours per academic year in firms that students can propose or choose from the list of ADEIT. They can be carried out only when you are a student of the Universitat de València and the authorisation of the direction department of the Master’s Degree is necessary.
ASPECTS TO CONSIDER:
- It is necessary that students previously fill in an application form in the ADEIT’s website, regardless the modality chosen.
- Remember to pick up the work placement agreement once it is ready and deliver it, signed, to whom it concerns in the established deadline.
- We recommend, once you finish the work placements, asking to the firm a certificate that credits you have carried out there the work placements.
- If the work placements are carried out with minors: students should apply for in the Territorial Management of the Ministry of Justice or through its electronic seat a certificate that credits the lack of sexual offences. DELIVERY PERIOD:
Submission of applications (compulsory): until 5 October at the ADEIT’s website.
Offers publication: 23 September, at the ADEIT’s website.
Auto practicum submission: until 5 October (immovable), to the Master’s Degree direction department.
Choosing the work placements: in October, on-site at the Faculty of Psychology.
Work placements start: January-February in the corresponding centre.
