The Council of Universities has resolved the renovation of the accreditation of the official university degree of University Master in General Health Psychology of the Universitat de València (General Study).

We would like to give our thanks to all the people involved in the development of our Master’s degree due to the dedication and commitment in the optimisation of the University Master in General Health Psychology of the Universidad de Valencia.

We begin a new period in which we expect that, with the help of our students, professors and administration and services staff, we will be able to satisfy again the requirements of the University Master in General Health Psychology of the Universidad de Valencia. It is professionalising in nature for the graduated in Psychology. Psychology is regulated in the health sector in 2011, by the following Law 33/2011, of 4 October, General Public Health Act. Seventh Additional Provision. Regulation of Psychology in the health sector. This law, among other things, states about Psychology: It will be considered a qualified and regulated health profession under the name of General Health Psychologist at the graduated level, in terms provided in the Article 2 of Law 44/2003, of 21 November, on the Management of Health Professions, the graduated in Psychology when they are employed or self-employed in the health sector, whenever that, in addition to the mentioned university degree hold the official degree of Master in General Health Psychology.

The article 24.2 of the Royal Decree 1393/2007, of 29 October, in the wording given to it by Royal Decree 967/2014, of 21 November, provides that universities must renew the accreditation of their official Master's degrees within a maximum period of four years from the date of their initial verification or their last accreditation. To this end, article 27 bis of the aforementioned Royal Decree regulates the procedure to be followed.
In line with the above, having regard to the application for reaccreditation of the official university degree of the University Master in General Health Psychology of the Universitat de València (General Study), presented by the Universitat de València (General Study), taking into account that the formalities provided in the abovementioned legislation have been completed, and analysing the report, favorable in nature, emitted by the Agència Valenciana d'Avaluació i Prospectiva, the Council of Universities, through its Verification and Accreditation Commission, in the session of the day 06 June 2018, has resolved the accreditation of the official university degree of the Master in General Health Psychology of the Universitat de València (General Study).
