This fact means a great recognition for the newly created Master and an achievement for all the professionals who have been working hard in order to offer a high quality master.

The Master’s degree in I+D Biotechnology and Biomedicine has been accredited by the Spanish National Agency for Assessment and Accreditation last Wednesday 4th of May. The ANECA has given its agreement to the study program of the Universitat de València Master. This fact means a great recognition for the newly created Master and an achievement for all the professionals who have been working hard in order to offer a high quality master.
This Master provide students with a knowledge in Biomedical and Biotechnological sciences. Both disciplines are very important since they are being applied to the development of new therapies, products and services. The methods developed in these areas contribute to the latest medical and agricultural advances. Therefore, they also contribute to the improvement of the environment, our economic well-being and our health. Some of the outstanding achievements such as the transgenic crops, animal and vegetable improvement, bioremediation, the industrial production of medicines and molecules, the recognition of the stem cells potencial in cell therapy, virology advances in gene therapy, molecular diagnosis in genetic diseases, the development of animal animal or cellular models for human pathologies, customized pharmacology or the improvements in assisted reproduction are based on the knowledge that Biomedical and Biotechnological sciences offer.
The Spanish National Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation of Spain (ANECA) is an autonomous body assigned to the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports. It has been accredited by the Article 8 of the Law 15/2014 dated 16th September, of the Public Sector and other measurements of administrative reform. It comes from the conversion of the National Agency of Evaluation of Quality and Accreditation. Its main aim is to improve the quality of the higher education system through an evaluation and certification of teachings, faculty and institutions.
The Master’s degree will be given by professors from the UV Faculty of Biological Sciences, Pharmacy, Medicine and Dentistry, Economics and Law. It will also count on the collaboration of some invited specialists coming from several valencian research centers.
