The Universitat de València takes part in AdaptNet, the first Spanish research network in genomics of adaptation

AdaptNet is the first Spanish scientific network aimed at doing some research on genomics of adaptation, that is, the study of the generation and maintenance of biodiversity. Twenty-four labs of eleven Spanish research centres are involved in this project funded by the Spanish Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness. World-wide experts are taking part in this initiative and it is coordinated by Julio Rozas, Full University Professor at the Faculty of Biology and the Biodiversity Research Institute of the University of Barcelona.

A través de la identificació d’una nova funció per a la proteïna Dom34, investigadors de la Universitat de València i la Heinrich-Heine Universität de Dusseldorf (Alemanya), han descobert una possible diana per al tractament de la candidiasi, una freqüent i preocupant patologia humana amb cada vegada més incidència en infeccions intrahospitalàries.
The Universitat collaborates in the identification of a possible target to treat candidiasis

Through the identification of a new function for the Dom34 protein, researchers at the Universitat de València and the Heinrich-Heine Universität of Düsseldorf (Germany) have discovered a possible target to carry out treatments against candidiasis, a frequent and worrying human pathology with an increasing incidence in inpatient infections.
