The director of the Chair, Ricard Martínez M., will participate in the panel discussion on data analytics in academic and research institutions.
RedIRIS will hold the 50th meeting of the Working Groups to present its Strategic Plan 2021-2024 and the main novelties of its catalogue of services. The meeting will be online and is initially scheduled to take place on Wednesday April 27th.
Among the speakers at the conference is Professor Ricard Martínez M., director of the Microsoft-Universitat de Vàlencia Privacy and Digital Transformation Chair. Martínez will participate in the panel discussion on Data Analytics in academic and research institutions.

Data Analytics in academic institutions
Regarding the use of data analytics in academic institutions, we recommend consulting Professor Martínez's lecture at the V International Congress on the Right to Education, Teaching Innovation and Educational Improvement. On that occasion, he argued that universities should assist teachers in complying with legal regulations when using technological tools. Thus, for example, if a professor sets up a repository for data analytics, it would be up to the university institution to assess the legal impact it would have on data protection.
