Ricard Martínez talks to experts in data protection to analyse the current state of professional practice in this sector.

The professionals in data protection have seen the consolidation of their area of work in recent years. Today they play an indispensable role in public and private institutions. In view of experts, this phenomenon took hold in 2018 with the application of the General Data Protection Regulation (RGPD). And only four years have passed since then.

To talk about this moment, the professor Ricard Martínez M., director of the Privacy and Digital Transformation Chair Microsoft-Universitat de València, and also of the La Ley Privacidad Journal talked to Nelia Álvarez, privacy expert lawyer at  Écija Abogados; Genís Margarit, telecommunications engineer; Ana Marzo, from Marzo Abogados; and Lluis Sanz Marco, industrial engineer and Data Protection Delegate of Barcelona city Council. In addition, they all are members of the Spanish professional Privacy Association (APEP)
