In this session, students and specialists will reflect on the effects of the European Digital Strategy and the sophistication of the Spanish ethical and legal framework.

The Microsoft-Universitat de Valencia Chair for Privacy and Digital Transformation will open the LegalTech Conversations series on Thursday 24 November. This is a space in which specialists will discuss the European Digital Strategy and the set of public policies and legislative initiatives that accompany it. This is due to the fact that this Strategy is set to have a profound impact on the citizens and member states of the Union.

In this context, the session will be dedicated to analysing the effects on our ethical and legal framework, which is growing and becoming more sophisticated, and where there is also an opportunity for new jobs.

The event is aimed at second year Law students and third year students of the Degree in Business Intelligence and Analytics.

It will have a panel format with the participation of: Ana Ferrer-Albero, coordinator of the International Projects Unit at the Health Research Institute (INCLIVA) and adjunct professor at the Universitat Politécnica de Valencia; Vicente Bellver Capella, full university professor at the Universitat de València and director of the Department of Philosophy of Law and Politics; and Lucas Sanjuan Viñas, head of Competitive Intelligence and Alliances in Health at the Institute of Computer Technology (ITI).

The LegalTech Conversations will take place on Thursday 24 November, at 10:30 a.m., in Room 101 of the South Lecture Hall of the Faculty of Law of the Universitat de València.
